Europe must win this war!
Stopping European imports of Russian fossil fuels, the income from which propels this imperialist aggression, would save the lives of thousands of Ukrainians.
It would be a sign of compassion and support for the victim, not for the aggressor. It would be an expression of respect and admiration for the brave people of Ukraine, ready to die for European values.
The introduction of sanctions would mean no blackmail on the part of dictators and war criminals. It would show unity and solidarity within the EU and with Ukraine.
It would show our faith in the strength, flexibility, and creativity of free societies. This would lead to significant savings in energy consumption and thus contribute to the mitigation of climate change.
But most importantly, the immediate energy embargo is necessary for Ukraine to win this war as soon as possible. And this war must be won by Ukraine and by Europe.
There is no place for imperialism, resettlements, and genocide in Europe.
And Ukraine is Europe!
